Exporting Data Once data is entered into TimeSig 2005, it can be exported or transferred into other programs.. This function is accessed from the reporting section of TimeSig 2005. At the top of all reports there is an icon printer so the report can be printed, and an icon open letter with an arrow. (It is circled here in red.)

When this icon is chosen, an Export screen is viewed. Two areas require a choice.

  • Format -- Format refers to the way the text will be formatted to export. In other words, what format will be used in specific programs? Each type of software requires a specific configuration. There are several: Rich Text Format, Tab-separated text, Tab-separated values, Text, Word for Windows document to name a few. For example, if data is exported to MS Word, then choose the format, "Word for Windows document."

  • Destination -- This means the place or program that the data from TimeSig 2005 will end up. Application means a destination of a specific software program such as MS Word.

Note:

PDF files can be created provided the user has a program like DocuCom or similar program.  These types of software programs function as a "printer."  Please use their instruction manuals for operation.

From TimeSig the reports are created when "Print" is selected, then select the PDF maker.  Then make the choice of destination and where you want the file saved.
