Teachers

Select the Teacher Tab.

Select teacher by right click for the "Add, Edit, Delete" function. For each teacher you must supply a name and hourly rate. This rate is for billable hours. Charges will be calculated per hour or fractions thereof depending upon the  Lesson Duration.  Tuition can also be established at this point.

A teacher may or may not be active. This can change from term to term as one teacher may be on sick leave, or on vacation. It is easy to change teacher status by checking or unchecking the "Active" box. Next, right click on the window and select a subject for them to teach.

Click on the 'unavailable' tab to set dates that the teacher is not available to teach. These times may be for request time off, personal holidays, etc. Personal appointments, such a doctor's appointment, hairdresser, errands may be entered,  showing  up on the teacher schedule.  It will also prevent scheduling a student when the teacher is unavailable.

This function of blocking out times, is also discussed in the section Closed.

Note: If subjects have not been assigned to the studio, they will NOT be able to be assigned to the teacher.

Note: The teacher must be "active" before any transactions can be made and before any students can be scheduled.

Note: If a fee per lesson is used, set up a transaction type, remember to set the teacher fee to zero. Add charges to statement from the Transaction Screen.

Note: Tuition lessons are the number of lessons x length of lesson (duration) x number of lessons. TS calculates this automatically, providing ease of use.

The next tab is  Rooms
